Testimonials

Some words from those we have worked with...

'Cardboard Box Cafe', Stirling, Parent and Tots Workshops

'' It was great to be able to be creative and know that the kids were safe and happy. It was nice to do something for me. It was fun and I felt I was learning a skill.''

''I unfortunately only managed to attend 1 session however I felt all the information given and tips when actually taking photographs in different environments/lighting was fantastic. I felt things were explained really well - even for a novice like me! Thoroughly enjoyed it.''

''Great to get professional guidance in such a lovely, relaxed environment''

''I really appreciated the small group size which enabled one-to-one tuition when needed.''

'Made in Stirling' artists workshop with Creative Stirling CIC, Stirling

''  Janie has been a great supporter of our social enterprise.... Most recently she facilitated a workshop to discuss the business structure of
our retail outlet,  Made in Stirling. Engaging with 20 artists and volunteers, it was the most concise and engaging event of this kind that
I have been to. Here are comments from two of the participants

Kate D
' Time was used very effectively!  Excellent organization! '

 Linda R
' Time use was excellent.... It was fast moving but allowed time for what needed to be done efficiently. '

Janie is great to work with. ''

'The Nature of Old Stirling' with St Modan's High School, Stirling

'' There has never  been a more exciting time in Scottish Education than now.  With the  endless possibilities that the Curriculum for Excellence (CFE) brings in terms of experiential learning we  were able to form an exciting and dynamic partnership with Picture the Possible. Janie was excited by CFE opportunities and was particularly passionate about opening up the curriculum outwith the school.

''' The Programme we designed and planned absolutely met the desired outcomes and even more!  Our staff, pupils and indeed whole school
have benefited hugely from the experience. Our staff have the confidence to be more flexible with aspects of the curriculum. Our young people have had an amazing journey from the start of the project to the end and have grown in many ways. Those involved grew in confidence and genuinely became effective  contributors, successful learners and responsible  citizens.  Through working in Partnership with Picture the Possible they were able to establish strong community links and  apply new skills and knowledge  to real life situations. As a school, we took the risk to pilot the  programme and now we can truly see the potential that lies within such a project and the exciting opportunities that could potentially lie ahead for our young people on a larger scale.

'' I found working with Janie a captivating and inspiring experience from the outset.  I knew she would easily capture the imaginations of our staff and young people and truly unlock the creativity within them.  Janie had a vision for the project and we had confidence in her that she had the skills, qualities, patience and passion to work with our selected group.

''  Our young people and staff have been completely inspired by Janie and the Picture the Possible project and are already talking about ways to carry the partnership forward
. ''

Community Support with Fundatia Inocenti, Romania

'' ... having Janie as a part of our team was a great help for the children, the families  we support and also our staff. .... These are vulnerable families, with  social and economic difficulties, who need our support in order to improve their life and become independent and strongly integrated into our society. Janie’s efforts in fundraising were of great help for continuing our activities with children and families in-need.
Among Janie’s strengths are her ability of connecting people and resources, being creative and looking for solutions where others see obstacles.''

Landscape Photography Workshop in the Yorkshire Dales, England

"I thoroughly enjoyed the landscape photography course - it was refreshing to be guided by someone who is so passionate about his profession, and life! I gained a lot of knowledge in a very short space of time, much of it tailored which I  found invaluable. Highly recommended."
